Nashville Post: Silo Studios opens in The Nations
Charleston, SC based development company Flyway announced Thursday that construction has been finalized for its Silo Studios project in The Nations. The adaptive reuse project saw the conversion of a former lumber mill into a facility targeting office, retail, restaurants, brewery and fitness uses. The development involved the reinvention of about 70,000 to 80,000 square feet of space, with a secondary building also upgraded.
The Silo Studios structure sits on nearly 3.8 acres at 5400 Centennial Blvd. The building is expected to serve as a gateway to the adjacent Silo Bend development under construction, which will include residential dwellings of varying types (multi-family and 1/2 single-family townhomes and cottages), walking trails and greenways. Silo Studios’ amenities include surface parking, an outdoor courtyard with a performance stage, small gathering spaces, a dining terrace and sitting steps.
